New to You: Using MEPs and DECs to Grow Exporting – Part II

We continue the conversation by covering the missed opportunities of not working with MEPs and DECs, and how to get past the roadblocks to realizing the benefits of exporting.

A recent survey conducted by EXIM Bank and Manufacturing.net showed that about 85 percent of U.S.  manufacturers either hadn’t heard of, or were not familiar with Manufacturing Extension Partnerships or District Export Councils - both of which can provide support for manufacturers looking to grow by expanding their export business. 

So, to help shed some light on how these MEPs and DECs can assist manufacturers in their efforts to expand in foreign markets, we sat down with Bill Fanjoy, Director of the U.S. Commercial Service in Virginia and Washington, D.C., and Scott Blacklin, Principal and CEO of Blacklin Associates. Scott also serves as the Chairman of the Virginia/Washington, D.C. District Export Council
