Joining M.net's editorial director is Robert Patton. Bobby is the President and CEO of Gaithersburg, Maryland-based Patton Electronics. The company designs and builds communication and network connectivity hardware for applications ranging from telecom to industrial ethernet to fiber optics. 

Since helping to found the company in 1984 with his brothers and father, Bobby has had roles focused on strategic product development and engineering, as well as sales and technical services. The company currently has sales in over 125 countries and generates more than 60 percent of its revenue outside of the U.S.

Bobby is a graduate of the University of Maryland and has been appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve a four- year term on the Maryland-DC District Export Council, working closely with the Department of Commerce Commercial Service.
