Knoll (Germany) has introduced the AerosolMaster ATS for turning, milling, drilling and sawing machines. The AerosolMaster ATS is designed for minimum quantity lubrication to guarantee maximum lubrication with minimum consumption, providing almost dry machining, ensuring defined aerosol quality and operating with high rotational speeds up to 45,000 rpm. It can be used in mass production, automotive, aerospace, medical and tool/mold design and construction.
Features include:
- Provides a very fine and homogeneous aerosol with response times of <0.1 seconds and no pressure fluctuations at the tool for high process reliability and short machining times.
- Enables intuitive operation using an app on a smartphone or tablet to prevent heat while allowing up to 30 programs to be set as required without wait times.
- Delivers air consumption rates rated at 10-1000 Nl/min (800 ATS model) or 10-1300 Nl/min (4000 ATS model), with maximum oil quantity usage of 350 ml/h.
- Weighs 42 kg with dimensions of 600 mm x 420 mm x 230 mm (AerosolMaster 4000 ATS model), allowing for flexible installation using long aerosol lines up to 50 m.
- Available in AM lubricant c-al (cryolub-resistant up to -78°C), AM lubricant c-st (cryolub-resistant up to -78°C), and AM lubricant ht (high-temperature-resistant) versions.
