Emerson (St. Louis, MO) introduced the PACSystems RX3i CPS400 Safety Controller, designed to enable Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL2) strategies for infrastructure, fire and gas, burner management systems and other emergency shutdown systems.

The PACSystems RX3i CPS400 Safety Controller provides a compact, high-performance solution with security measures and scalable architecture. It supports applications ranging from single equipment safety to distributed process protection.

  • Supports up to 2,000 I/O points for complex projects
  • Equipped with 64 MB memory and scalable digital architecture
  • Supports OPC UA, Ethernet Global Data (EGD) and Modbus TCP protocols
  • Includes Secure Boot and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for data integrity and threat protection
  • Provides safety-certified function blocks and pre-configured templates for IEC 61511 compliance
