GREENFIELD, Ind., August 17th, 2026 — API International has completed a major expansion of its Greenfield, Indiana, warehouse, increasing its Midwest warehouse capacity by 75% while positioning inventory closer to major East Coast infrastructure markets and reducing typical delivery times from as many as seven business days to as few as one business day.

The expansion, which began following city approval in July 2025, was completed in May 2026. The company expanded its existing facility to support rising demand across the eastern and southern United States.

With the project complete, API International has increased its company-wide warehouse and manufacturing capacity by 20%.

The expansion strengthens the company’s Midwest distribution capabilities and positions inventory closer to major East Coast infrastructure markets.

Faster East-Coast Deliveries Start Now

The expansion was driven by one core objective: improving customer service through faster delivery and greater product availability.

Previously, many shipments to eastern customers originated from API International’s headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon, resulting in transit times of six to seven business days. Now, with increased inventory positioned in Indiana, delivery times to the East Coast and southern states are reduced to approximately one to three business days. In other words, the company has cut typical shipment times from 6–7 days down to just 1–3 days, helping customers receive critical products in half the time.

"API International is all about servicing and supporting our customers at any given time," said Abdi Afghan, VP of Operations at API International. "Customers can count on us to provide quality parts, dependable availability, and products that meet or exceed specifications."

The Greenfield facility now features new racking systems capable of storing 60–70 additional containers of product within the expansion area, along with two new forklifts to support increased throughput and operational output. This added capacity means greater in-stock inventory of key products, reducing the risk of stock-outs and backorders. Customers can rely on faster access to what they need, when they need it, even as demand continues to grow.

Supporting Growing Eastern Market Demand

The Midwest expansion aligns with rising demand in silencer manufacturing, data center infrastructure, exhaust systems, waterworks, and HVAC markets, particularly throughout the eastern United States. The company has also expanded its eastern sales presence to support continued regional growth.

"API International sees this expansion as critical to supporting our growing customer needs," said Ric Henderson, VP of Sales at API International. "It allows us to meet our customer base with shorter lead times, better availability, and improved responsiveness to customer demand."

Beyond shipping speed, the Indiana location strengthens regional quality control support. Customers in the South and East now benefit from dedicated QC resources closer to their operations, reducing the need to route potential issues back to Oregon.

Increased Staffing and Operational Support

The expansion increases job capacity at the Greenfield facility by 50%. The company has added a new Warehouse & Facility Supervisor, a Warehouse Operations Lead, and dedicated quality control support, mirroring the QC structure at its Tualatin location.

The facility supports API International’s primary AWWA C207/C228 and ANSI/ASME B16.5 flange product lines, as well as OEM fittings and custom-fabricated industrial pipe components.

Long-Term Growth Plan

The Greenfield expansion is part of API International's broader manufacturing, logistics, and distribution strategy. The company plans to continue investing in warehouse capacity and manufacturing infrastructure, with additional U.S. stocking and production locations under consideration.

This investment positions the company to support continued growth across the Eastern and Southern United States for years to come.
