A Nebraska packing house that closed five years ago will open again as Open Range Beef after the facility was sold last week. The city manager of Gordon, Neb. touted the future economic benefit Open Range will bring to the area, which includes the Pine Ridge Reservation. He said,
"Without a doubt, it's a boon for our employment base."
