The European Commission has released its Winter 2019 Economic Forecast and it has good news for all EU member states. The European economy is forecast to grow for the seventh year in a row in 2019 with expansion set to occur in every country. The pace of growth is forecast to be fastest in Malta at 5.2 percent, followed by 4.1 percent in Ireland and Slovakia. Italy is going to experience the slowest growth at 0.2 percent. The Commission also said that the overall growth will be moderate compared to the high rates of recent years and that the outlook is subject to large uncertainty.
