Microsoft is apparently testing a feature that would allow the transfer of apps between mobile devices and computers.

The system, according to reports, would enable users to move back and forth from the Windows 10 operating system to mobile systems — including Google's Android and Apple's iOS — via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The tech giant first outlined Project Rome at its Build conference earlier this month, and the feature should be available this summer on test versions of the next Windows 10 update.

Apple unveiled a similar feature, called Handoff, in 2014.
