That housing is constructed of polycarbonate that is thermally conductive, which means that the LEDs don’t lose illumination due to heat build-up.

J.W. Speaker Corporation (Germantown, Wis.) has unveiled the XD Series of LED worklights, which consists of nine products that feature a proprietary housing and good illumination. That housing is constructed of polycarbonate that is thermally conductive, which means that the LEDs don’t lose illumination due to heat build-up. The XD Series are also designed to be both impact- and corrosion-resistant for use in harsh environments and to ensure a long lifespan. The worklights are either sealed to prevent water ingress (IP67) or able to withstand high-pressure washing (IP69K), and if something just happens to go wrong, they come with a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturer or material defect.
