Baldor Electric Company (Fort Smith, Ark.) has announced the new Dodge MAXUM XTR concentric reducer, which puts a compact, power-dense design in a rugged ductile iron housing. The company says this reducer features a superior sealing system, long-life bearings and compatibility with industry-preferred dimensions. The MAXUM XTR has carburized and ground gearing that meets AGMA Q11 Quality standards, as well as AGMA 2301 cleanliness specifications. Additional features include:
- A tandem seal system with HNBR oil seals protected by an excluder lip auxiliary seal on all shafts to provide high temperature protection and minimize shaft wear.
- Longer-life tapered and/or spherical roller bearings.
- Nine case sizes, with torque ratings from 29,500 to 579,000 in-lbs torque.
- A number of accessories, including internal high capacity backstops, shaft-driven fans and more.
