Mercedes Unveils Self-Driving Luxury Car

Dieter Zetsche, CEO of Daimler AG, speaks at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas where he launched the F 015 concept vehicle, a rolling luxury lounge that chauffeurs passengers autonomously.

While a lot of the buzz at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is all about the connected home and bringing more Internet of Things (IoT) devices into everyday life, some companies are showing off their car tech.

A record 10 car companies are attending this year’s show happening this week in Las Vegas. For example, Ford is unveiling its Sync 3 system that breaks away from its original Sync partner Microsoft for QNX Software Systems which is owned by Blackberry. BMW is showing off its i3 electric car that includes the new Remote Valet Parking Assistant that finds a spot, parks and will even come pick you up at the door when you’re ready to leave.

Not to be outdone, Mercedes is using CES to showcase a self-driving luxury car. Check out the video from Bloomberg Business where Dieter Zetsche, CEO of Daimler AG, launched the F 015 concept vehicle, the rolling luxury lounge that chauffeurs passengers autonomously.
