See-Through Semi Lets You Pass Safely

The new Safety Truck developed by Samsung features a wireless camera attached to the front of the truck connected to a video wall made out of four exterior monitors located on the back of the truck. The monitors display what is going on in front of the truck, even at night.

In order to make the new technology a reality, Samsung is working with safe driving NGOS and the government to make sure they comply with existing national protocols and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Navy Test Fires Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System

Last week, the U.S. Navy test fired its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) off the coast of Newport News, Virginia. It’s manufactured by General Atomics, and has been under development for about 25 years.

The new system was tested aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford, and will eventually replace steam catapults which have been standard carrier equipment since the 1950s.

Great Scott, the Hoverboard is Real

Yesterday, Lexus shook up the world by releasing a teaser trailer for a Sci-Fi promised mode of transportation that the real world had yet to realize.

According to Lexus, the hoverboard uses magnetic levitation to achieve frictionless motion. The maglev board features Lexus’s signature spindle grille combined with a natural bamboo surface, and is part of the fourth project in the Lexus Amazing in Motion campaign, an international showcase for the brand’s creativity and innovation. The prototype is being tested in Barcelona in the coming weeks prior to the campaign’s launch this summer.
