Explosion-proof lights have joined Phoenix Products Company, Inc.’s (Milwaukee, WI) broad offering of Light Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures. The SLXP, SLX, and DLX LED fixtures use solid state lighting technology to provide an instant-on light source. Designed to replace HID and INC floodlights, the fixtures use 39 watts and provide a 56 percent energy savings when compared to a 70W metal halide equivalent. The fixtures are ETL/cETL certified, conforming to UL 1598 Ordinary Locations, 1598A Marine Outside Type (Saltwater), 844 Hazardous Locations (T6 (85°C)), CSA, and Nema 4X, allowing them to service a multitude of applications. The LED’s have a 50,000 hour rated life and are available in both flood (45 degree) and spot (28 degree) optics.
