BRAE(Oakboro, NC), a Watts Water Technologies company, has developed a configurable Rainwater Harvesting System for commercial applications that can reduce water consumption by up to 65 percent. The systems offer storage capacities of 200 to more than 2 million gallons, and are capable of managing the filtration, storage, distribution, and treatment functions necessary to rainwater systems. These systems can contribute up to 24 percent of LEED points available for green buildings. The company says it specializes in helping customers interface rainwater systems with building management systems, and has already worked with a number of high-profile clients, including Lowe’s and the Duke Energy Center.
