Lexmark To Buy Saperion For $72M

Lexmark International Inc. has reached a deal to buy European business software maker Saperion AG for about $72 million in cash.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Lexmark International Inc. has reached a deal to buy European business software maker Saperion AG for about $72 million in cash.

The printer maker said Tuesday that the German company's products are highly scalable and easy to integrate with all major enterprise resource planning, email and document management systems.

The company has also developed cloud-based and mobile enterprise content management systems to provide workers easy access to important content regardless of their location.

The deal, which subject to regulatory approval in Germany, expected to close in the third quarter.
