Cereal Ingredients Inc. To Expand In Kansas

Specialty ingredients manufacturer Cereal Ingredients Inc. plants to invest $12 million to expand its operations in eastern Kansas.

The Leavenworth County Development Corp. said the development would add about 81,000 square feet of warehouse, maintenance and production space and create at least 32 new jobs.

“It is a very nurturing environment as evidenced by our continued growth and commitment to the community," said CII CEO Bob Hatch.

CII's ingredients, which are exported to 19 countries, add flavor, texture and color to baked goods, mixes and ready-to-eat cereals.

The company currently employs 104 workers at its Leavenworth facilities.
