McCormick Taps Kurzius to Succeed Wilson as CEO

Spice maker McCormick & Co. on Tuesday said Lawrence E. Kurzius will succeed Alan D. Wilson as the company's CEO effective in February.

NEW YORK (AP) — Spice maker McCormick & Co. on Tuesday said Lawrence E. Kurzius will succeed Alan D. Wilson as the company's CEO effective in February.

Wilson has been chairman, president and CEO for over eight years. Last January, he transferred responsibility for the company's global operations to Kurzius, who served as president and chief operating officer.

Wilson will continue to serve as executive chairman of the board of directors following the transition.

Sparks, Maryland-based McCormick has $42 billion in annual sales and makes spices, seasoning mixes and condiments.

McCormick shares were steady at $85.92 in premarket trading about an hour before the market open.
