AMSTERDAM, New York (PRNewswire) — Beech-Nut Nutrition Company today announced that it has listed the percentage of each ingredient for all of its jars and pouches on its website. Beech-Nut is the first U.S. baby food company to provide this information to parents.
"All parents want the best for their babies, and they want to know exactly what they are eating," said Jeff Boutelle, president of Beech-Nut. "We don't want parents to worry about the foods they're feeding their babies, which is why we're sharing our recipes."
In the foods section on the Beech-Nut website, parents can click on any individual product to reveal its nutrition panel. This panel now features a percentage breakdown of each ingredient.
"While not all of our labels meet our long-term vision for the brand, transparency is one of our core values. Therefore, we're sharing our recipes now, even as we continue to improve them," continued Boutelle.
This year, Beech-Nut was awarded Product of the Year in the baby category for its 100% naturals and organic lines, as selected by more than 40,000 consumers in a national representative survey conducted by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), a global leader in consumer research surveyed nationwide.
