INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A company that makes drink mixes and sweeteners says it's planning a $21 million project to add production and distribution facilities in Indianapolis.
Carmel-based Heartland Food Products Group announced Monday that it anticipates adding up to 160 jobs in the next few years with the expansion on the north side of Indianapolis. The project includes adding production lines, filling machines and packaging and blending equipment.
The company says it now has about 300 employees in Indiana. It makes drink mixes and zero-calorie sweeteners for store and national brands.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says it offered the company up to $1.2 million in tax credits based on its hiring plans.
