Research Center Now Offers HACCP Award for Food Companies

Leatherhead will now be offering Level 4 Award in HACCP Management for Food Manufacturers with HABC, as well as Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing.

Leatherhead Food Research is pleased to announce that we now offer Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) qualifications from the Highfield Awarding Body of Compliance (HABC), providing delegates with a clear understanding of HACCP systems and principles and their implementation into an operational HACCP scheme.

Leatherhead will now be offering Level 4 Award in HACCP Management for Food Manufacturers with HABC, as well as Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing.

Benefits of HABC

  • HABC is authorised by the Regulatory Authorities (Ofqual and Welsh Government) to award qualifications in HACCP and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
  • HABC publish a range of course textbooks to offer additional support through the HACCP exams.
  • HABC exams are constructed on a model HACCP plan, similar to one found in the industry, so that delegates can apply learning to real-life situations.
  • A more comprehensive exam style, ensuring delegates achieve the qualification with an in-depth knowledge of how to develop, implement and manage HACCP plans in line with codes of conduct and procedures.

Dr Peter Wareing, Principal Food Safety Advisor and Course Director for Leatherhead’s HACCP qualifications, said: “I am thrilled that we are now able to offer Level 3 and 4 HACCP as a HABC-qualification. The courses provide an interactive learning style and the concluding exam is both realistic and applicable, so that delegates can apply their knowledge and experience of real-life situations.”
