WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Anheuser-Busch says it will invest $10 million in its Williamsburg brewery to help expand its packaging operation.
The company announced the investment Thursday.
The brewery's general manager, Rick Shippey, says in a news release that the investment includes the addition of a slim package to one of the existing can lines.
Vice president of supply and head brewmaster Pete Kraemer says upgrades also will be made to improve the operation's water and energy efficiencies.
The Williamsburg brewery opened in 1972. It produces more than 40 different beers, including the flagship Budweiser and Bud Light brands.
