EMERYVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Jamba Juice has signed a deal with Foodmark to open 80 Jamba Juice stores across the Middle East over the next 10 years.
Foodmark is the food and beverage unit of Landmark Group.
Jamba Juice Co. said Friday that the first store is expected to open in Dubai this year.
Jamba Juice, which serves smoothies, juices, sandwiches and other products, said the deal brings its current pipeline commitment to 480 stores in South Korea, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar. It had 849 stores globally as of Oct. 1.
Jamba Juice's stock fell 29 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $12.05 in midday trading.
