WARSAW, Ky. (AP) — A new pet food manufacturing facility is opening in northern Kentucky.

FreshChoice Complete Diet Products is planning to move into a former food processing plant in Gallatin County, creating 22 jobs. A release from the governor's office says the company is investing $2 million in the project.

FreshChoice will make fresh and raw dog and cat food, as well as smokehouse bones, chews and treats at the 26,000-square-foot facility on East Main Street in Warsaw. FreshChoice plans to begin selling its pet foods next spring through a network of independent distributors.

FreshChoice touts its products as having "real, whole and fresh ingredients."
