WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — A former supervisor who was accused of trying to cover up fuel contamination at Entergy Corporation's Indian Point nuclear plant in New York has pleaded guilty to a federal charge. The U.S. attorney's office says Daniel Wilson reached a plea agreement under which prosecutors agreed not to seek a sentence longer than six months. He pleaded guilty Wednesday to violating regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Wilson was chemistry manager at the Indian Point plant in February 2011 when diesel fuel for emergency generators was found to contain excessive particulate matter. The complaint said he faked a test to show the problem had been solved, then lied about it. Wilson is to be sentenced in January. The agreement says federal guidelines point to a sentence of no time to six months.
