Yaskawa Electric Expands Wisconsin Facility

Producer of variable frequency drives, machine controllers, servo amplifiers and servo motors adds additional manufacturing space to its Oak Creek facility.

WAUKEGAN, Ill. -- Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. recently added an additional 33,000 square feet of manufacturing space to its new Oak Creek facility near Milwaukee, Wis., giving the location a total of 140,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space. Headquartered in Waukegan, Ill., the company is a producer of variable frequency drives, machine controllers, servo amplifiers and servo motors

According to Yaskawa, the original relocation of the facility earlier this year from New Berlin, Wis., to Oak Creek was needed because growth in the North and South American markets required additional space for manufacturing. Much of the recently added space will be devoted to manufacturing and service, the company said, to continue to provide a high level of customer attention and interaction.
