Husqvarna To Invest $26M In New Chinese Factory

Sweden-based manufacturer of portable, gasoline-powered gardening machinery plans to build a new factory for Zenoah Machine Co.

CHANGZHOU, China -- Husqvarna Zenoah, under the Husqvarna Group of Sweden, made an additional investment of US$26.2 million in the Changzhou National Hi-Tech District in Jiangsu Province on April 1, with the plan to build a new factory for Zenoah (Changzhou) Machine Co., Ltd.
 
The Husqvarna Group manufactures chainsaw mowers and other portable and gasoline-powered gardening machinery, as well as diamond tools and cutting equipment for the construction and stone industries worldwide. Its net sales in 2006 were 29.4 billion Swedish krona.
 
The new factory in Changzhou will mainly produce brush saws, brush breakers, 2-stroke small gasoline engines, oil saws, mist and dust sprayers, water pumps, branch breakers and other portable small machines for gardening and greening roads, with the products being sold to America, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia and all provinces across China.
