PITTSBURGH (AP) — PPG Industries Inc. said Thursday its aerospace unit plans to open a new plant for aircraft cockpit window repair in China, as demand in that burgeoning economy increases.
The plant, slated to be build in Suzhou, requires approval from China's Civil Aviation Administration. The company is also seeking certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
PPG said China is the fastest growing aviation market in the world.
