Air Temp Consolidates Mexican Operations

Company aims to increase profitability by moving operations from Mérida to a single production plant in Umán.

MIAMI - Air Temp North America, Inc., holding company for Air Temp de MĂ©xico, S.A. de C.V., announced Thursday it will consolidate its manufacturing facilities in Mexico into a single production plant.
 
Currently, operations are located in Mérida, Yucatán and employ 165 people. The operations will be relocated to Umán, Yucatán, beginning June 2007.
 
The consolidation is part of a plan to reduce expenses and increase profitability.
 
Air Temp designs, produces and markets systems and components of air conditioning, ventilation and heat exchangers for the automotive industry.
