HOGANSVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal says a Korean auto manufacturer is planning to build a plant southwest of Atlanta that will create 660 jobs.
Mando Corp. announced in 2011 that it would build the new casting facility in Meriwether County. Deal said at the time that Mando planned to employ about 200 people initially with anticipated growth leading to 426 jobs.
In a statement Friday, the governor's office said the company would invest $80 million and create 660 jobs by 2020.
The governor said the new 317,000-square-foot casting facility will be in the Meriwether Industrial Park in the Hogansville area, about 60 miles southwest of Atlanta.
