GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- Wholesale baking company Hostess Brands Inc. has notified state officials that it may have to lay off about 380 workers in Michigan as part of its plan to get out of bankruptcy.

WOOD-TV reports (https://bit.ly/Jh8wA8 ) Hostess Brands filed notices this month in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification act, which requires advance notice of mass layoffs. Possible cuts include 70 jobs in Detroit, 65 in Troy, 44 in the Grand Rapids suburb of Wyoming, 27 in Marysville and 22 in Saginaw.

Hostess Brands filed for Chapter 11 protection in January, the second trip through bankruptcy court for the maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread in less than a decade.
