CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Teamsters members are going back to work after a brief walkout against two Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated operations in West Virginia.
The union says 86 members of Teamsters Local 175 went on strike Thursday morning at the company's facilities in Charleston and Logan. Another 67 union workers honored picket lines at facilities in Bluefield, Clarksburg and Parkersburg.
The union says the workers will report back to their jobs on Friday.
The union says in a news release the company agreed to abide by a decision issued by a third-party grievance panel, which the contract requires. Luke Farley of Teamsters Local 175 says the grievance was over some work requirements.
Charlotte, N.C.-based Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated produces, markets and distributes Coca-Cola and other beverages in 11 states, primarily in the Southeast.
