LONDON (AP) -- Workers at a Coca-Cola factory in Britain are going on strike in a dispute over pay.
The union Unite says the walk-out at the bottling plant in Edmonton, north London, will lead to millions fewer bottles of Coke being produced this month.
Union official Jennie Formby says the workers want the company to increase its 2 percent pay raise offer to reflect the cost of living. She says further strikes are planned for later this month.
Coca-Cola Enterprises said in a statement it is disappointed at the industrial action but that it remains open to further dialogue with the union.
It said less than half of the 260 employees at the plant are involved in Wednesday's strike.
Coca-Cola has seven factories in the U.K. including the plant in Edmonton.
