Windows Maker To Bring Jobs To Mississippi

Soladigm, a manufacturer of energy efficient windows, will locate a manufacturing plant in the Olive Branch Industrial Park and employ over 300 people.

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP) -- Soladigm Inc., a Milpitas, Calif.-based green-tech company which manufactures energy efficient windows, has announced it will locate a manufacturing plant in the Olive Branch Industrial Park.

The plant will employ more than 300 people.

Gov. Haley Barbour and company CEO Rao Mulpuri made the announcement Friday in Olive Branch.

Soladigm will manufacture energy-efficient dynamic insulated glass units at the Olive Branch plant.

Mulpuri says the glass can change from clear to tinted on demand, allowing control over the amount of light and heat that enters a building.

Barbour says the state has provided a $40 million loan through the Mississippi Industry Incentive Financing Revolving Fund, in addition to $4 million in Momentum Mississippi incentives for project improvements at the company's new facility.
