Dresser-Rand Union Members OK New Contract

Industrial equipment maker said Monday that members of a union representing 399 workers at the company’s Wellsville, N.Y., facility have ratified a new contract.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Dresser-Rand Group Inc. said Monday that members of a union representing 399 workers at the industrial equipment maker and contractor's Wellsville, N.Y., facility have ratified a new contract.

The contract is effective immediately and runs through August 15, 2012.

It was approved by members of the Moore Lodge No. 1580, under District Lodge No. 65, part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO. Workers at the Wellsville plant manufacture steam turbines.

Dresser-Rand did not disclose details of the agreement in its announcement Monday.

A phone message left with the company was not immediately returned.
