WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- A spokesman says DuPont Co. is asking salaried workers to take the equivalent of two weeks off without pay.
Anthony Farina, the spokesman, said Monday that the company's 75 senior leaders will take three weeks off without pay.
The company employs 57,000 around the world and more than 8,000 in Delaware, the location of its headquarters.
Farina didn't know how many DuPont employees are salaried. He added that the request is voluntary, allowing greater flexibility for workers.
The spokesman says the program will let the company preserve cash while saving jobs.
