Society of Manufacturing Engineers Launches Lean Network

SME recently developed Lean Registry, a social network that connects lean practitioners throughout the world.

DEARBORN, Mich. -- The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) announced the launching of Lean Registry, http://SMEConnection.leveragesoftware.com, a free community connection and collaboration space for lean practitioners.

SME created the community with help from its partners and sponsors, The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and The Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing.

The Lean Registry was developed to help candidates progressing to Silver or Gold levels of the Lean Certification program demonstrate that they have mentored or trained others along the way. The network also addresses the issue that many practitioners frequently need to look outside their company to get mentoring and support.
