Citing an unnamed source, radio station VOCM says AbitibiBowater wants to eliminate about 150 jobs at its papermill in central Newfoundland.

GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, N.L. (CP) -- There's still no official word on the impact of a restructuring plan unveiled at the AbitibiBowater papermill in central Newfoundland.

But some information is starting to leak out from Grand Falls-Windsor.

Radio station VOCM is reporting that the company wants to eliminate about 150 jobs.

Citing an unnamed source, the station says AbitibiBowater also wants to shut down the mill's wood room.

As well, the report says the company wants all of the union's locals consolidated into a single bargaining unit.

The mill employs about 450 people.
