Some Goodyear Union Employees Return To Work

Nationwide, company says well over a hundred have returned to work.

Goodyear said Monday that some of the striking hourly union employees have returned to work.

Following a breakdown in negotiations, 15,000 North American union workers went on strike at Goodyear on Oct. 5.

Goodyear spokesman Ed Markey declined to comment on the exact number of employees that have returned to work, but he said it was “well into the hundreds.”

In Topeka, where an estimated 14,000 employees are on strike, “only a few dozen returned to work,” according to local USW vice president Glen Griffith.
