Manufacturing For Growth

During 2012, the Forum built on the findings of the Future of Manufacturing reportΒ with the Manufacturing for Growth project, creating a platform for business executives, policy-makers and members of civil society to identify key strategies and recommendations for driving economic growth and job creation through the production of goods.

Manufacturing companies and countries face ever-growing competition in pursuit of value creation, as manufacturing supply chains are disaggregated across borders. 

During 2012, the Forum built on the findings of the Future of Manufacturing report with the Manufacturing for Growth project, creating a platform for business executives, policy-makers and members of civil society to identify key strategies and recommendations for driving economic growth and job creation through the production of goods. For developed nations to move beyond stagnant economies to create jobs, and emerging markets to continue their economic acceleration, policy-makers and business leaders will have to be increasingly strategic and sophisticated in engaging in dialogue and taking action on collaborative policies to foster innovation and grow talent.
