Control, Smart Grid Integration Solution

WAGO announces the release of its IEC-compatible TeleControl PLC and four Linux-equipped I/O-IPCs.

WAGO (Germantown, WI) announces the release of its IEC-compatible TeleControl PLC and four Linux-equipped I/O-IPCs. They are designed to be comprehensive solutions for both control and smart grid integration. These WAGO-I/O-system components support IEC 60870-5-101 (serial transmission), IEC 60870-5-104 (TCP/IP-based communication), and IEC 61850 (substation protection/control). This permits use of one DIN-rail mount device for automation and IEC communication, conserving engineering resources. Programmable via CoDeSys 2.3, WAGO’s TeleController and I/O-IPCs convert signals from process/telecontrol apps via connected I/O into IEC-compliant data. This is designed to simplify monitoring of supply networks/transformers, integration of both pumped-storage and hydroelectric power plants into a control system, as well as networking wind/solar farms.
