Lenox Instrument Company (Trevose, PA) announces the addition to an IP workable model to its line of FireSight high-temperature boiler and furnace camera systems. The new model allows customers to view recorded video in real-time using a standard web browser or other video management systems. The FireSight is capable of generating to independently-configurable MPEG-4 video streams at up to 25 or 30 frames per second (for PAL and NTSC, respectively), which helps save disk space and bandwidth. In addition, the camera can operate in temperatures up to 4,000°F, useful in power plants, steel or paper mills, glass plants, or incinerators. Using the camera, operators can evaluate flame intensity and patterns, NOx emissions, or CO and O2 imbalance, to name a few.
