Pinpoint Laser Systems (Peabody, MA) announces a new storage system to be used with the Pinpoint Laser Microgage 2D family of products. The new display unit is compatible with existing 2D measuring systems and enables the operator to record readings in the field or on the factory floor. Readings can be transferred onto a computer using the company’s DCU software for analysis. The 2D system can be used for tool alignment, bore alignment, shaft alignment, and other manufacturing applications. Measurements can be made over a range of 180 feet with a precision of better than 0.0001 inches in a factory environment. Several attachments allow the measurement other properties as well.
