Detcon (The Woodlands, TX) has reengineered its gas detection sensor, named the Series 200 UniTox, to included a significantly-improved mechanical assembly and a more economical price. The UniTox line incorporates a common Universal Transmitter Module with a wide range of Intelligent Sensor Modules (ISM) capable of monitoring more than 40 toxic gases. The new UniTox sensors feature an electro-polished 316 stainless steel ISM, replacing the original plastic module. The universal design allows for interchangeability of any ISM, meaning they can be pre-calibrated, stored, and rotated to the field as needed.
