ProSoft Technology (Bakersfield, CA) has announced the release of the RadioLinx Intelligent Cellular solution, designed to provide global wireless connectivity for industrial devices. The RadioLinx gateways utilize the existing cellular infrastructure to connect devices across geographically diverse locations, and can connect devices through the Internet. The line provides a copact form factor, low power consumption, a DIN-rail mount, and a rugged design that supports Class I Div 2 hazardous location certification. Three different products are available:
- Serial Modem for global GSM: Utilizes AT&T service in the U.S. and any Mobile Virtual Network Operations carrier globally.
- Ethernet Gateway for HSUPA networks: For applications requiring Ethernet connectivity.
- Serial Modem for CMDA: Works with Verizon network within the U.S.
