Fluke Corporation (Everett, WA) has announced the availability of the new TL175 TwistGuard Test Leads, which have a manually-adjustable test tip guard for use in different measurement environments. By twisting the teat lead, the user can change the exposed tip length from 4/25” to 3/4”. When the tip guard is fully extended, the leads are safety rated for CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V use, and when the guard is retracted, the leads are rated to CAT II 1000V. In addition, the TL175 Test Leads are designed to last longer thanks to a dual-layer silicone insulation that resists melting if it comes in contact with hot surfaces, yet remains flexible in cold situations. Both the probe-end and plug-end have been tested beyond 30,000 bends without failures.
