The OEM quality CO2 laser optics for low-power lasers used in cutting plastics are now available from Laser Research Optics (Providence, RI). The CO2 Laser Lenses and Mirrors are optimized for use at 10.6µm and meet ISO-10110 specifications for optical elements. They are available for Cincinnati®, Coherent®, Epilog®, Synrad®, Universal®, and similar lasers, and are comparable to the originals, according to the company. They come in 1/2” to 1” O.D. sizes with 1” to 12” focal lengths, while the mirrors are 1/2” to 10” and made from silicon, copper, and molybdenum for dirty environments.
