The new MBS 1800 Cylinder Pressure Sensor from Danfoss (Baltimore, MD) is the new high quality pressure sensor, designed to meet the harsh environment encountered in diesel and gas engines. Based on a unique crystal technology, the pressure sensor offers reduced fuel consumption, reduced maintenance costs, and longer operating life. The MBS 1800 features a pressure range up to 250 bar, an overload pressure up to 300 bar, a response frequency of 20 kHz, and is designed for 20,000 operating hours in severe conditions. The sensor is available in integrated (sensor and amplifier in one housing) and in-line (sensor and charge amplifier flexibly connected by a high performance cable) versions.
