Elma Bustronic Corporation (Fremont, CA) now offers a new 3U 9-slot OpenVPX backplane with optional Ethernet control plane. Designed to VITA 65 design principles, the 9-slot OpenVPX backplane features a centralized routing topology. The profile number is BKP3-CEN09-15.2.17-1, with data rate speeds to 3.125 per channel. Contiguous groups of slots can have their maskable reset pin joined via jumpers within a backplane header. A BKP3-CEN09-15.2.17-3 profile version is also available with the same configuration, but offers speeds of up to 6.25 Gb/s. Elma Bustronic utilizes creative routing techniques to maintain superior signal performance for high speeds using standard FR-4 PCB material.
