Industrial Scientific (Pittsburgh, PA) has introduced the Ventis™ Slide-on Pump. The new pump is compatible with both the Ventis MX4 and the MX4 iQuad multi-gas detectors. It is ideally suited for gas monitor users who wear their gas monitor for personal protection the majority of their day but occasionally require a pump for confined space entries. The Ventis Slide-on Pump (Model VSP), available in black or safety orange, allows for convenient sampling of up to 50 feet in a wide range of applications, says the company. No tools are required to attach or remove the pump to and from the Ventis monitor. Since the pump is powered by its own battery pack, the battery packs can be exchanged between instruments, as needed.
