Hypertherm (Hanover, N.H.) has announced the release of new consumables for PerCut 210M and 450M torches, which are found on all new and upgraded Kjellberg HiFocus systems. According to the company, these Centricut consumables will match or surpass the equivalent Kjellberg version, and feature the company’s patented SilverLine electrode and CoolFlow nozzle technologies, which can reduce the cost of the end user’s cutting operation. The SilverLine technology includes a hybrid copper-silver weld joint that delivers performance similar to a solid silver electrode for a lesser cost. Other features include:
- Advanced cooling features that reduce the operating temperature of the electrode, which maximizes the hafnium pit depth and wear rate.
- Improved cooling via the CoolFlow technology to help maintain the size and shape of the nozzle orifice for a longer life.
- Manufacturing to critical-to-function tolerances by advanced machinists.
